Energy depletion reminder v1.0

Everyone is whining and complaining about the current hot spell. With humidity level at ~80% and temperature peaking at 36 degrees Celcius, no one enjoys that humid and warm air brushing past your cheeks every 5 minutes; even my dog couldn't stand it. He's spoilt, I have to agree with that.

Some of us would say, "So what? It's CNY!" (definitely not me.)

Others would say, "That's what air-conditioners are invented for..." (not me.)

The religious would say, "Jesus is coming back soon!" (I believe in this. But this is just me.)

Some would just say, "%&#* that sun." (definitely not me either.)

Whatever comes out of our mouths, the current hot spell is caused by a weak El Nino in the Pacific Ocean. You could actually start praying for La Nina so as to let this brother and sister fight against one another and we could have a balanced weather according to the Yin & Yang concept for cosmic balance.

My point for this entry, is to remind us on our consumption of energy sources (else I wouldn't even have the thought of checking my blog.) Be it electricity, water, gas or petrol. They are all scarce whether they are relatively cheap or costly. Water is still pretty cheap locally but that is because we have yet to face a chronic crisis in water supply. Petrol prices are rising steadily. Electricity prices will rise in tandem with the petrol prices as most of our power plants work on fuel or gas.

Electricity consumption has been surging all around the world, yea especially in Malaysia now. Anyway, I don't plan to babble so much, all I wanted to do is just paste an URL link and you guys could spend some time reading it, and it will probably change the way you spend energy resources. It is quite intimidating but hey, these are facts. That day will come.

Well, here is the link - http://www.lifeaftertheoilcrash.net/

It gives us a glimpse of the pre-Armageddon days on Earth. Pretty interesting. Spare some time reading this site, it enlightens us. Do pass it around to your other connections.
